Haris Vuckic

A talented central midfield player who joined Newcastle United as a teenager in January 2009.

Haris, who had previously played senior football for NK Domzale in his native Slovenia, is a good passer and his height and strength makes it difficult to knock him off the ball.

He made his senior debut for the Magpies in August 2009 and in 2010-11 played in all three of the club's Carling Cup ties before suffering a knee injury which kept him out of action for the remainder of the season.

He was back in action at the start of 2011-12, making his Barclays Premier League debut against Fulham in August when he came off the bench only to be replaced himself due to injury, and added further appearances later in the campaign, also impressing during a month on loan to Cardiff City.

Haris has represented Slovenia at U19 and U21 levels, and won his first full cap against Scotland in February 2012.
