Graham Alexander Biography
Graham Alexander is a midfield player and was captain of Burnley during the 2010-11 season, taking over from Steven Caldwell. A Scotland international, he had signed for Burnley in August 2007 and was converted by then manager Steve Cotterill from full back to midfield. Graham is the most successful penalty taker currently in the game and during the 2010-11 season he also became only the second outfield player in English football history to play 1,000 games. He lost his starting place in the team in January and featured only as a substitute after that before leaving Turf Moor by mutual agreement in July 2011.
