Gianni Zuiverloon Biography

Gianni Zuiverloon is a versatile defender who joined West Bromwich Albion in July 2008.

He has mostly been used as a right back for Albion, but can also play in the centre of defence and on the right-hand side of midfield. He is a strong, pacy player who reads the game well.

Gianni was a regular in the line-up in his first season at The Hawthorns and was a prominent player in the 2009-10 promotion campaign but lost his place in the side towards the end of that season. He rarely featured in 2010-11, spending time on loan at Ipswich, and he was released at the end of the season, subsequently signing for the La Liga club Real Mallorca.

Gianni was a member of the Netherlands team that reached the quarter-finals of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
