George Long Biography
George Long developed in the Sheffield United Academy and became the youngest goalkeeper to make a competitive appearance for the club when he played in the final League game of the 2010-11 season at Swansea, at the age of just 17.
George was a regular for the Blades’ U18s and one of the stars of the team that reached the FA Youth Cup final. In April he was called up to the England U18 squad, making his debut as a substitute against Italy.
