Gary Jones

Gary Jones was again club captain of Rochdale in 2010-11, when he extended his record total of appearances for the club to beyond the 450-mark and also finished top scorer.  His importance was shown by the fact that he won three of the club’s end-of-season awards, including Goal of the Season. Gary is influential in the centre of midfield for Dale producing consistent performances over the years.  He is good on the ball and is a player with vision and leadership skills. Gary is in his second spell at Spotland having originally joined the club from Swansea City in January 1998.  He broke the club record when he made his 318th appearance in a goalless draw at Grimsby Town in August 2008 and has since continued to add to his total.
