Player Details

Gary McSheffrey rejoined Coventry City, his hometown club, in the summer of 2010 after four years at Birmingham City. He played in the deep-lying left side of the attack which enabled him to use his speed to attack full backs. Gary set the Ricoh alight in September when he netted the late winner over Doncaster after coming on as a substitute. In total he netted eight League goals the best of which was his superb chipped effort at Burnley. Following Andy Thorn's elevation to manager Gary was played in a more central role just behind the strikers, which seemed to him better.
