Gareth Ainsworth

Gareth Ainsworth is an experienced right winger who joined Wycombe Wanderers in February 2010 after spending a month on loan with the club the previous November. 

A former trainee with Blackburn he developed into an enigmatic winger, notably enjoy success with Lincoln City in the 1990s where he became something of a cult hero. 

A veteran of over 400 senior appearances Gareth arrived at Adams Park after a six-and-a-half year spell with Queen’s Park Rangers. Renowned for his commitment both on and off the pitch, he is also known for scoring spectacular goals. He was a near ever-present for the Chairboys in 2010-11, when he was team captain, leading the club to promotion from League Two with some inspirational performances. 

Gareth also netted Wycombe’s Goal of the Season when he netted with a real scorcher from 30 yards out at Burton, a goal that was the 100th of his professional career.
