Gaby Zakuani Biography
Gaby Zakuani is a central defender who joined Peterborough United during the January 2009 transfer window after a successful loan spell with the London Road club. Gaby is a strong, committed player who is powerful in the air and has pace. He began his career at Leyton Orient, making his senior debut as a 16-year-old before earning a move to Fulham. He was a key player in Peterborough's promotion to the Championship but his appearances in 2009-10 were restricted by injury. Gaby began 2010-11 again on the sidelines but went on to feature regularly in the team, defying a dislocated shoulder to play in the play-off victory over Huddersfield Town. Gaby has been capped for DR Congo.
