Felipe Caicedo Biography
Felipe Caicedo is a powerfully built centre forward, who
signed for Manchester City from FC Basel in January 2008.
In his first season
at Eastlands he featured regularly as a substitute, while in 2008-09 he
featured regularly in the squad in the second half of the campaign, putting in
some useful performances and scoring two in the 5-1 win over Hull.
However,
with fierce competition for places in the line-up he spent much of the
remainder of his career with City out on loan. He had spells with Sporting Lisbon
and Malaga in 2009-10, while in 2010-11 he enjoyed a successful season with
Levante UD.
He left City in the summer of 2011, signing for Russian Premier League club Lokomotiv Moscow. Felipe won his first cap for Ecuador as a 16-year-old against Italy in May 2005 and has now played for his country more than 30 times.
