Emmanuel Frimpong Biography

A central midfielder who plays for Arsenal. Emmanuel provides muscular strength in the centre of the park and is best used in a midfield holding role.

A product of the club’s academy set-up, he was a member of the team that won the FA Academy U18 title in 2009-10, but suffered a serious knee injury in the opening weeks of the 2010-11 season. However, he was back in action for the reserves towards the end of the season.

He went on to make his Barclays Premier League debut for the Gunners at Newcastle in the opening game of the 2011-12 campaign, and added further appearances before joining Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in January.

Emmanuel was a regular during his time at Molineux until suffering a cruciate knee injury in February which ended his campaign. Emmanuel has been capped for England at U17 level.
