Emmanuel Eboue

Emmanuel Eboue is a versatile defender or midfielder who joined Arsenal from Beveren in January 2005. He is a solid defender who is very effective making forays down the flank.

Emmanuel took time to settle in and was initially second choice at right back but then took over the jersey and made the line-up for the Champions’ League final in 2006.

Bacary Sagna's arrival saw him reduced to a place on the bench, but he then switched to midfield. Emmanuel was mostly a cover player during 2010-11, filling in at right back or on the right-hand side of midfield. In August 2011 he moved on to sign for Galatasary.

A regular member of the Ivory Coast national team, Emmanuel has made over 60 appearances for his country.
