Player Details

Emmanuel Adebayor is a commanding striker for Manchester City who has outstanding ability both on the ground and in the air. Emmanuel began his career in Togo with Sporting Club de Lome, before moving to France, where he played for Metz and Monaco, arriving in the Premier League with Arsenal in January 2006. He soon became a huge favourite with the Gunners? faithful, building an impressive goal scoring record, and becoming a Champions? League finalist in 2007. In July 2009 Emmanuel moved to Eastlands, and he started the season with his new club in sensational style, scoring in each of the opening four Premier League games, including a goal against his previous club Arsenal. In October 2010 he hit a hat-trick in the Europa League match against Lech Poznan, becoming the first City player to score three goals in a European tie. However, with competition for places fierce he dropped down the pecking order and went on loan to Real Madrid in January 2011. An experienced international, Emmanuel represents Togo at international level. In August 2011 he joined Tottenham Hotspur in a long-term loan arrangement.
