Elliot Hewit is a teenaged defender who made history when he became Macclesfield Town's youngest Football League player after making his debut on the final day of 2010-11. Elliot, who is a right back, started the season as a first-year scholar and appeared regularly in the youth and reserve teams. He was promoted to the first team for the last game of the season and played the full 90 minutes of the League Two clash with Hereford United at the age of just 16 years and 342 days.
The summer transfer window has ended, and all the teams are now set for the season to truly begin.
