Doug Loft is a central midfield player who made the switch to Port Vale in the summer of 2009 after being unable to win a regular place in the Brighton team. Doug is a player who likes to get forward and is a good passer of the ball with either foot. He suffered a punctured lung in only the third game of the 2010-11 season but battled back to full fitness. Doug was then in and out of the side, picking up niggling injuries but an important player when fit. He scored one of the club?s best goals of the season against Lincoln City but missed the run in due to a leg injury.
