Decland Rudd Biography

Declan Rudd is a young goalkeeper who broke into the first-team squad at Norwich City early in the 2009-10 season.

Declan joined the academy at Norwich as an outfield player but later switched to become a goalkeeper and after representing England U16s he was taken on as a scholar. Declan was included on the senior team bench for the final game of 2007-08 and became the club's regular substitute goalkeeper from early in 2009-10, making his League One debut when he came on at Gillingham.

He started the following two games keeping a clean sheet on his full debut against Leyton Orient and has continued to be in the first-team squad. He was again regular back-up keeper during 2010-11 making a couple of appearances in cup football and deputising for John Ruddy in the Championship game against Barnsley in September.

Declan has represented England U17s and U19s.
