Davide Santon Biography

A full back who joined Newcastle United from Inter Milan in the summer of 2011.

Davide spent much of the 2011-12 campaign settling down on Tyneside and he was in and out of the side. He had to wait until October for his debut against Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park, but went on to start in 19 of the Magpies’ Barclays Premier League games.

Prior to his move to Tyneside he spent three years with Inter, but his time with the club was affected by injuries and he spent the second half of the 2010-11 season on loan to Cesena. Davide has been a regular for Italy U21s in recent years and has won seven full caps.
