David Jimenez Silva Biography

David Silva is a talented attacking player who signed for Manchester City in July 2010.

He made his Premier League debut at Tottenham on the opening day of the 2010-11 season and went on to become one of the Blues most significant players as City challenged for Champions’ League qualification and won the FA Cup.

Quickly recognised as one of the Premier League’s most impressive players as the season progressed, his skills as a playmaker made him a firm favourite with City fans.

David developed in the youth set-up at Valencia and went on to make more than 100 appearances for the club in La Liga before his move to Eastlands.

He has won over 40 caps for Spain and was a member of the squad that won the 2010 World Cup, although he did not feature in the final.
