Dave Winfield is a big, powerful central defender who signed for Wycombe Wanderers during the 2010 close season. Dave made his debut for the Chairboys against Morecambe on the opening day of the 2010-11 season and soon became a firm favourite of the club?s supporters. An imposing figure at the heart of the defence, he was a key figure for Wycombe as the team fought their way to promotion from League Two. Dave developed through the youth set-up at Aldershot Town, where he was included in the first team as a teenager in the club's pre-league days. He went on to make his Football League debut in the League Two match at Exeter City in February 2009 and continued to add to his appearances in the 2009-10 campaign.
