Dan Seaborne is a central defender who signed for Southampton during the January 2010 transfer window, going on to make his debut for Saints at Millwall shortly afterwards.

Dan spent much of the 2010-11 promotion campaign understudying centre back Rahdi Jaidi, however, manager Nigel Adkins had no hesitation in selecting Dan to partner José Fonte in the fourth round home FA Cup tie against Manchester United back during a hectic sequence of fixtures in January.

He played an accomplished part in the 2-1 defeat. Dan reads the game well, and is as adept at winning the ball on the ground as he is in the air, where he applies an impressive physique to great advantage.

He learned his game with Exeter City, with whom, aged 20, he captained to promotion from the Conference to League Two in 2008, and promotion to League One in 2009.
