Daniel Bentley Biography
Daniel Bentley is a young goalkeeper at Southend United whose consistent form for the youth team saw him replace Ian Joyce as understudy to Steve Mildenhall in 2009-10 when he featured on the bench on 17 occasions. Competition in 2010-11 was somewhat stiffer following the arrival of Glenn Morris and Rhys Evans, and Daniel spent most of the campaign continuing his development in the U18 and reserve teams. Daniel initially joined the Shrimpers in November 2008 having been released after seven years at the Arsenal Academy. He has yet to make his debut in senior football.
