Benik Afobe is a young striker who developed through the Arsenal Academy to sign a professional contract in February 2010. Benik is a pacy and powerful player who scored prolifically for the U18s, including a hat-trick in the Premier Academy League final of 2009-10.

He impressed with the reserves during the opening months of 2010-11 and in November joined Huddersfield Town on loan. After initially featuring on the bench he established himself in the starting line-up, producing several Man of the Match performances and featuring in the Terriers’ play-off final defeat by Peterborough.

Benik has played for England at U16, U17 and U19 levels.
