Chris Solly is a young defender who graduated from the academy at Charlton Athletic to sign professional forms for the Addicks. Chris, who is mainly a right back, represented England at U16 and U17 levels and went on to make his senior debut for Charlton when he came on as a substitute in the final game of 2008-09. He made his first senior start the following season in the Carling Cup and has since continued to increase his experience of senior football. Although rarely in the team during the first half of 2010-11 he played regularly in the closing weeks of the season. Chris scored his first senior goal when he netted in the 3-1 win at Leyton Orient.
