Callum Ball

Callum Ball is a young striker who spent 2010-11 as a second-year scholar at Derby County. Callum is a powerful player who has proved a prolific scorer for the U18 and reserve teams. He was handed his Football League debut when he came on as a late substitute against Cardiff City in May 2010. Callum continued to find the net for the U18s in 2010-11 scoring two hat-tricks in his season's tally of 21 goals. Callum was the Rams' Scholar of the Year and netted a double-figure total for the club's reserves. He went on to add to his first-team experience early in the season and again in the final weeks of the campaign before being handed his first start against Reading in May. Callum went on to sign a full professional contract for County in the summer of 2011.
