Callum Kennedy is an attacking left back who captained Swindon Town's youth team before going on to sign a professional contract in February 2008. Callum, who can also play in a more advanced role on the left side of midfield, was given his full League debut in December 2008. He and began the 2010-11 season on the fringes of the first team, appearing from the bench against Brentford in August before starting three consecutive games from the end of that month. Although he made no further appearances for the Robins during the season he gained further experience of senior football during loan spells with Gillingham and Rotherham United.
