    Iglesias Borja Valero Biography

Borja Valero is a creative midfield player who joined West Bromwich Albion for a club record fee in August 2008.

He is a playmaker with good technical skills who distributes the ball well. He was used in a number of roles in the 2008-09 season under manager Tony Mowbray, although he lost his place in the closing stages of the campaign and thereafter he only appeared once more, in a Carling Cup tie in August 2009.

He spent the remainder of 2009-10 on loan to Real Mallorca and then joined Villarreal in a season-long for 2010-11. He left The Hawthorns in the summer of 2011, signing for Villarreal on a permanent basis. Borja began his career with Real Madrid, briefly playing in the Champions’ League, and later moved on to Real Mallorca for the 2007-08 season.

He has been capped for Spain at age-group levels up to U19.
