Ben Williams Biography
Ben Williams is an experienced goalkeeper who signed for Colchester United in the summer of 2009.
Ben has a reputation as an excellent shot stopper and quickly established himself as first choice ‘keeper for the U's, making a big impact following his arrival. His performances in 2009-10 earned him the club's Player of the Year award but he missed the start of 2010-11 after suffering an ankle injury.
Ben was back to fitness by October and then appeared regularly throughout the remainder of the campaign. He began his career as a trainee at Manchester United and was later at Carlisle United before moving south.
