Ben Swallow Biography
Ben Swallow is an attacking player who was in his third season as a professional with Bristol Rovers in 2010-11. Ben developed through the Pirates' youth set-up and after signing his first full contract had spells loaned out to local non-league clubs to gain experience. Ben, who plays wide on the left, made his senior debut when he came on as a substitute in the Carling Cup tie with Aldershot in August 2009. Ben was given his first League start against Carlisle United in November 2009. His season in 2010-11 was very much a stop-start affair, affected by niggling injuries and an influx of new players as the club struggled to retain its League One status. However, Ben won the club's Goal of the Season award with his magnificent 25-yard strike at Wycombe Wanderers in the remarkable 6-3 victory in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
