Ben Amos Biography

Ben Amos is a promising young goalkeeper with Manchester United. He rose rapidly through the ranks and was handed a scholarship in July 2006, and a professional contract soon followed two years later.

Ben's impressive communication, organisation and positional sense are rare in such a young ‘keeper, and Sir Alex Ferguson trusted him sufficiently to hand him a senior debut in September 2008 at the age of 18, when he performed admirably in a Carling Cup win over Middlesbrough.

Loan spells with Peterborough United, Molde FK in Norway and, in 2010-11, Oldham Athletic have furthered his claims for first-team status, and he will look to capitalise on the retirement of Edwin van der Sar this summer.

He has been capped for England at every age level between U16 and U20.
