Andy Butler is a central defender with Walsall. Andy started his career at Scunthorpe United where he came through the ranks to play an important role in the club's rise from League Two to the Championship. He joined Huddersfield Town in 2008 and also enjoyed a loan spell at Blackpool during the 2009-10 season. He helped the Seasiders secure promotion to the Premier League but was allowed to leave in the summer of 2010. Andy arrived at Walsall in November and his never-say-die attitude saw him become an instant fans' favourite. Despite his late arrival, Andy was crowned Player of the Season and Player's Player of the Season. He also ended the 2010-11 campaign as team captain.
