Andrew Wright is a versatile player for Scunthorpe United who can operate either on the right or in the centre of both defence and midfield. A product of the Liverpool Academy, he then went on to spend several years in the United States with West Virginia University and then Cape Cod Crusaders of the USL Premier Development League. He signed for Scunthorpe United in January 2008, but has never really established himself as a first-team regular at the club - despite his reliability when called upon. Andy made a number of sporadic starts for the Iron in 2010-11, also spending a successful time on-loan to Conference club Grimsby Town.
