Alex Smithies is a talented young goalkeeper who developed in the youth set-up at Huddersfield Town, making his senior debut as a 17-year-old. Alex became a regular in the team from November 2008 and went on to produce some confident performances. He is an excellent shot stopper and has the physical presence to command his area.
