Player Details

Alex Bruce is a central defender who joined Leeds United in July 2010. Essentially a back-up player, he enjoyed two short runs in the line-up in 2010-11 playing alongside Andy O?Brien. Alex is a former Blackburn Rovers trainee and also had a spell on the books of Birmingham City, but it was not until he signed for Ipswich that he received regular first-team football. However, Alex struggled to win a place in the line-up in 2009-10 and in February he was loaned to promotion hopefuls Leicester City. Alex has been capped for the Republic of Ireland.
