Preston North End winger Simon Whaley has agreed terms with Norwich ahead of a possible move to Carrow Road.Whaley was omitted from the Preston squads for their pre-season friendly games on Tuesday night. The 24-year-old travelled to Scotland to meet Canaries boss Bryan Gunn at the club's training camp. Norwich boss Bryan Gunn told BBC Radio Norfolk: "He's a player that I've admired and he would add something extra to the squad if he signs." He added: "Simon has asked for some time to think about the offer and hopefully the positive talks that have gone on already will come to fruition." It is understood that talks between Whaley and Norwich will continue over the weekend regarding personal terms which, if agreed, would finalise the move. Whaley has previously played at Bury and went on an emergency one-month loan to Barnsley in November 2008. He joined Preston in January 2006 for £250,000.
