James Hanson is a tall striker who was a prolific scorer in non-league football for Eccleshill United and Guiseley before getting his chance as a full-time professional when he signed for Bradford City in the summer of 2009. James went on to make his League debut, being initially used by the Bantams as a wide left midfield player before switching to the role of central striker to which he is more accustomed. He uses his height to good effect and has proved to be a hard working striker with the ability to get goals. James was City?s leading scorer in 2009-10 when his performances earned him the club's Player of the Year award. He continued to play regularly in 2010-11, finishing the season as second-top scorer.
