Dean Moxey is a left-sided defender who signed for Crystal Palace in the January 2011 transfer window, becoming new manager Dougie Freedman?s third recruit for the club. Dean proved to be an inspirational signing, winning over the fans with his overlapping forward runs and committed performances at the back. He began his career at Exeter City where he was a trainee before signing professional forms.Dean assisted the Grecians in the climb from the Conference to League One before signing for Derby County. A regular in 2009-10 his place became less secure at the start of 2010-11 and he made a number of appearances as a makeshift striker as well as at left back before his move to Selhurst Park.
