West Bromwich Albion edged a five-goal thriller against Preston to move to within a point of leaders Newcastle.Ben Watson put the home side ahead with a low drive before Chris Brunt made it two with his 11th of the season. Sean St Ledger pulled a goal back for the visitors with a diving header from Ross Wallace's cross but Graham Dorrans added a third with a 30-yard free-kick.
