West Brom edged out Scunthorpe to notch up their fourth successive league win and depose Newcastle as Championship leaders on goal difference.Roman Bednar gave the Baggies an early lead when he slotted in a close-range effort from Robert Koren's pass. The visitors struggled to stamp their authority on the game, but Scunthorpe failed to make the breakthrough.
