Preston North End loanee Ross Wallace is hopeful of tying up a permanent move to Deepdale during the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old winger has scored twice in 21 appearances for the Lilywhites and is enjoying regular first-team football after a tough time with Sunderland.
He told the Lancashire Evening Post: "I'm all for staying with North End, so hopefully the two clubs can come to some sort of agreement.
"I'm enjoying it here, I'm playing games and we have got a half-decent side together. I would love to stay on full-time because it's terrific here.
"Sunderland have got the option to take me back and Preston have the opportunity to buy me in January.
"So hopefully the two clubs can come to some sort of agreement and that will be an end to it."
