Preston North End boss Paul Simpson had mixed feelings about star striker David Nugent after the 2-1 win over Cardiff City at Deepdale.
The England Under-21 ace was sent off ten minutes before half-time, although Simpson was pleased with Nugent's efforts up to that point, with the striker having caused problems that saw Bluebirds defender Glenn Loovens red-carded early on.
He said: "Nugent's first yellow card was stupid for his gesture to the linesman.
"He's got to learn and for the second so-called foul, I thought he won the ball and the ref tried to even things up.
"His first booking was his fourth of the season. It was a bit of stupidity. These are things that he has to learn.
"He has to get it out of his game, but that was the hardest he has worked for us."
