Simpson waiting for offers

Preston North End boss Paul Simpson has revealed that the club have had no enquiries about transfer-listed midfield duo Jason Jarrett and Adam Nowland.

The duo have been told that they can leave Deepdale, but Simpson doesn't expect any deals in the near future.

He told the Evening Telegraph: "They can be loaned out after the end of August.

"Barring that it would be a case of waiting until January for the transfer window to open up again.

"If nothing happens before the end of this month, they will just carry on training.

"They are both professionals and they have got to keep coming in and doing their stuff every day and wait to see if there is anyone who wants to take them."
