Preston North End boss Paul Simpson insists his side can still secure automatic promotion to the Premiership despite their recent faltering form.
The Lilywhites have slipped down to fourth place in the table on the back of successive league defeats, but Simpson has refused to give up on the thought of a top-two finish.
"We are without a shadow of a doubt still looking for that second place," he told the club's official website.
"We still think we've got enough to go and do it. We all accept we let ourselves down over recent weeks with performances and results, but why shouldn't think we can still do it?
"I bet Sunderland still think they can do it and they are only a couple of points away.
"West Brom and Wolves possibly still think they can do it and we are in a better position than them, so why not think we can still do it?
"We are in a situation where we need results and we want results as quickly as we can."
