Russell deal done

Preston have signed midfielder Darel Russell on a three-year deal following his departure from Norwich.The 29-year-old was a key figure in the Canaries` League One promotion campaign last term but turned down the offer of a new deal at Carrow Road.The former Stoke man is delighted to have joined North End, and told PNE Player: "It was a no-brainer decision from a footballing point of view."It looks like a club that are trying to play in the right way which is a big thing, and they have the right mentality of trying to bring the young lads through and progress that way."
