Reading sign Williams from Iron

Reading have signed left-back Marcus Williams from fellow Championship side Scunthorpe United on a free transfer.The 24-year-old, whose contract with the Iron was due to expire, has signed a three-year deal with the Royals. Reading boss Brian McDermott told the club website: "Scunthorpe offered a good deal but he was keen to come here. "There was interest from other clubs but Marcus didn't speak with anyone else.
