Quiet June satisfies Irvine
12 Jun 2009 - 13:56:54
Preston North End boss Alan Irvine is unconcerned by the lack of transfer activity at Deepdale.
Irvine has rejected two bids from Nottingham Forest for Paul McKenna and expects there to be interest in Sean St Ledger who has been linked with Everton, West Brom, Burnley, Sunderland and Portsmouth.
He told the Evening Post: "There's nothing to report, either coming in or going out. It's what I expected to be perfectly honest.
"At this time of the year it's all about people gathering information, seeing who might be available and who won't be. Then it's a case of acting a bit later using the information you have.
"With the Paul McKenna situation, there's nothing new there. Forest made two bids which we turned down and we've heard nothing since. Hopefully we won't get another telephone call."
