Preston Lose At Oldham

Preston lost their final pre-season friendly away at Oldham by a single goal. Preston were undone by a simple move from Oldham which may concern boss Darren Ferguson. A through ball was played past the North End defence who were playing the offside trap. Ryan Brooke latched onto the ball and converted the chance. North End fielded a mix of youth and experience with Ferguson restricted by the current size of his squad and injuries to players that he didn't want to risk in a run out with a week prior to the season.
