Players Dropped By Text

Preston ahve refused to comment on claims in a national paper that several players were dropped by text before Saturday's game against Orient.

It is believed that Nicholson, Barton, Gray and Bunn were all sent a late night text message from Westley stating that they would not feature in the starting eleven against Leyton Orient.

Westley has since confirmed that he did send a text message to the whole of his squad at 2am in the morning concerning tactics and the game plan for the match with Orient. He refused to comment over the allegation that players were dropped by text.

The new boss has apologised for sending the message so late but blamed this on the fact that he was trying to input everyone's new numbers into his phone.
