Preston North End have snapped up free agent goalkeeper Grzegorz Szamotulski following his departure from Dundee United.
The 31-year-old Poland international ended a six-month contract at the Scottish Premier League club last month and has now joined the Lilywhites on a similar deal.
Szamotulski made 31 appearances for the Terrors and had been linked with a move to Rangers.
He will now challenge Andy Lonergan and Chris Neal for the number one jersey at Deepdale during the remainder of the season.
"I am very happy to be here and I am very happy to have signed the contract," he told the club's official website.
"I know that Preston North End are a good club in the Championship, a solid club and I also know that you had a Polish player a few years ago, Pawel Abbot, and I am happy that this club came in for me.
"I want to play as well as possible and help the club to maintain a healthy position in the Championship."
