Alan Irvine's men reached the Championship play-offs, but Lonergan is wary of their feats being followed by a season of struggle. The homegrown shot-stopper said: "Hopefully we can build on last season even though it will be tough. "The gaffer said to us at the end of last season that it is not easy to build on success and you look at the likes of Charlton and Watford, who had one season up in the play-offs and underachieved last season. "Just because we finished in the top six last year it doesn't mean that we will do it again this year, we need to work hard and earn that opportunity."
