Nicholson raring to go

Preston midfielder Barry Nicholson is aiming to be back in action over the festive programme.The former Aberdeen man has been an unused substitute in five of the last six games as he feels his way back to full fitness after twice breaking his leg.But Nicholson told the Evening Post: "I spoke to the gaffer at the end of last week and we both decided that basically I'm ready to go again."I just have to bide my time and wait for a chance when the gaffer decides to put me in."Hopefully I will be more involved over Christmas, the gaffer will have to rely on a lot of players with there being a lot of games in a short space of time."
