Mellor Fails To Secure Terms At Wednesday

Neil Mellor has failed to agree personal terms with Sheffield Wednesday this week and so is set to return to pre-season training with North End. The striker spent the whole of last season on loan at Hillsborough but the deal saw Preston paying up to half is wages which amounted to around £5,000. Mellor was looking to strike personal terms for a full time deal at Wednesday but they clearly did not wish to meet Mellor's demands. Unless something changes it looks like the striker will run out the last year of his contract as a Preston player.
